The Harvard Club of Boston Foundation
Established in 1950, the Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Club. Each year, dozens of students receive scholarships, allowing them to pursue their dream of attending Harvard. Last year over $260,000 was given to deserving students.
In addition to these scholarships, the Foundation supports the following programs:
- Boston Summer Community Service Fellowships: Sponsors two Harvard College students for summer community fellowships, allowing a learning opportunity for the student as well as a chance to service the community.
- The Harvard Prize Book Program: This program, which recognizes outstanding high school students in the next to graduating class, has grown significantly: in the last year the Prize Book was distributed to over 265 students in 222 schools. In addition, the Program recognizes outstanding teachers who inspire excellence and curiosity in students by honoring them, along with winners of the Prize Book, at an annual breakfast at the Main Club.
This year, the Foundation has awarded three Summer Community Service Fellowships.
